NGOHub is a product of NeeNam — an Indian technology company that builds software for the Indian social sector. We built NGOHub because we saw how much time NGO staff were wasting on administration that should have been automated years ago.
How NGOHub came to be
The idea for NGOHub came from conversations with executive directors of Indian NGOs who described spending their Sunday evenings typing 80G receipts in Word. Not because they wanted to — because there was no better option. The tools available were either too expensive, too complex, or simply not built for India.
NeeNam's founding team had worked with technology for India's social sector for years. We knew the 80G receipt format. We knew FCRA's separate accounting requirements. We knew that Indian donors give on WhatsApp more than any other channel. We knew that your accountant uses Tally.
So we built NGOHub. Not a CRM adapted for NGOs. Not a foreign product translated to rupees. A platform built from the first line of code for the specific operational reality of running an Indian NGO.
